Samco Silicon Inlet Hose for WRX, STi, Forester XT, Legacy GT and Baja Turbo. The original turbo inlet pipe is made from hard black plastic, has a tendency to crack causing air leaks, and is restrictive to air flow. Samco manufactured a replacement hose in silicone, with aluminum strengthening inserts and connections where necessary. This new hose is less restrictive to air flow, more flexible to prevent cracking, and visually more appealing and is available in a choice of three colors.

Perrin Silicon Inlet Hose.  The Perrin inlet hose features a full 3-inch diameter silicone hose, which gradually tapers to the 2 1/4-inch turbo inlet diameter. The smooth 3-inch profile is maintained through all bends increasing air velocity and volume.  Because of the flexibility of silicone the corrugation in the center of the stock inlet pipe is not needed. The now smoother inner surface further increases air velocity and horsepower. The Perrin inlet pipe can be installed without removing the intake plenum, which will cut the installation time to less than one hour.

 Blow off Valve for WRX, STi and Forester XT. The PERRIN Performance™ Blow off valve has simplified and redesigned the use of the piston in blow off valves. The piston inside the PERRIN Performance™ blow off valve sits horizontal to the mounting base and is driven not by pressure in the boost tubes but by vacuum in the intake manifold. The PERRIN Performance™ piston is held shut by a vacuum reinforced spring. The more boost that your vehicle runs the more pressure the blow off valve will hold.

From Perrin Performance extensive testing they have found that 100% recalculating blow off valves, in this situation, always out perform vent to atmosphere blow off valves. MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor based cars run air in a closed loop. All air fuel ratios are calculated by the amount of air passing the sensor. Air that is vented from the system, after the sensor but before entering the motor is unaccounted for. Fuel is delivered to the motor by the computer based on readings by the MAF sensor. If that air is the vented out of the system and not ingested by the motor, air fuel ratios will begin to run rich. The computer will unintentionally deliver to music fuel based on its prior calculations of air flow. This venting will cause drivability issue and lagging between shifts.

Blow Off Valve Type H for WRX and STi.

Designed for high performance, the TurboXS Blow Off Valve - Type H relieves compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly. This valve is an extremely important part of any turbo system allowing quicker turbo spool up between gear changes and greatly increasing the life of a turbocharger. The BOV Type H provides greater venting flow than the Type S and is designed for turbo charged engines running 10 to 25 psi boost.  Each valve is individually tested to hold  30 lbs. of boost.  Sizing of valve is based on flow and not boost pressure.

The PERRIN Performance™ front mount intercooler kit is the first intercooler kit specifically for WRX & STi. The PERRIN Performance™ front mount intercooler core stretches the entire length of the bumper skin opening and is over 3 inches thick. The front mount intercooler core solidly mounts to a new box steel bumper beam provided in the kit. No cutting of any metal or frame member is required. All of the PERRIN Performance™ intercooler boost tubes are polish to a high luster and will work with the factory blow off which is retained in the stock location. This allows for easy connection of the blow off valve recirculation pipe, retaining proper air fuel ratios between shifts.

Turbo Upgrades

Power Enterprise 1818 Turbos from Power Enterprise are based on IHI units that are re-engineered for higher flow. Both units are upgraded from the standard single ball bearing to dual ball bearing design. Compressor housings are re-machined to accept a much larger compressor wheel for high flow capacity. 1818 turbo uses a P18 exhaust housing for faster response while 1820 uses a P20 exhaust housing for better top end performance. Wastegates are available with PE's separate actuator which allows tuning of the wastegate opening characteristics through interchangeable springs.

VF39 Turbo Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. This is Turbo off the STi Version VIII 2.5 Liter in the U.S.A . For best results it should be fitted with an electronic boost controller, replacement ecu or well mapped ECU chip. However it can run with a Std ECU and a bleed valve.

VF30 Turbo Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. This turbo is off the GD STi RA utilizing the exhaust housing of a VF24 with the compressor housing between a VF23 and a Vf22. This turbo will start to come on boost at 2800 rpm. For best results it should be fitted with an electronic boost controller, replacement ecu or well mapped ECU chip. However it can run with a Std ECU and a bleed valve.

VF22 Turbo Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. This turbo will start to come on boost at 3300 rpm, and is capable of running up to 25 psi @7000. The VF22 can pump more boost than the std WRX or STi OE Turbo @7000 rpm, with some lag down low. For best results it should be fitted with an electronic boost controller, replacement ECU or well mapped ECU chip. However it can run with a Std ECU and a bleed valve.
