GFB has developed a 'Hybrid' type BOV kit
for the Legacy GT Turbo. The kit is a
direct 'bolt-on' replacement for the factory BOV, and doesn't
require any modifications to the car. As with all
GFB products, the Legacy GT BOV kit is designed and manufactured to GFB's
strict quality standards from the highest grade materials.
The 'Hybrid' design of the new
Legacy GT BOV is a design developed and proven by GFB. It can be configured
in three venting modes using a supplied parts.
1. Hybrid mode - 50% of the air is plumbed
back, like a factory BOV, and 50% of the air is vented. This avoids
potential problems on air-flow metered vehicles and provides a great sound -
but one that won't attract too much attention.
2. Vent-to-atmosphere mode - All of the
air is vented to atmosphere for maximum noise. This configuration works
successfully on the Legacy GT without any drivability problems.
3. Full plumb back mode - Like the
factory BOV, but with improved throttle response and the ability to hold
higher boost levels.
